Micca was also left feeling sad and rather empty for other reasons. Since he was so tired, she and Joseph hadn’t been ‘connecting.’ Their conversations seemed short and humdrum. Lately, Joseph had even been falling asleep right after making love with out even a smile or ‘thank you..’ L She cherished these ‘after-glow’ moments. (At times, Micca enjoyed these displays of affection even more than making love.) She treasured those moments when Joseph simply held her close and stroked her hair. She would lay her head on his chest and listen to his strong, warm heart beat with her hair loose and unbound. Her long soft tresses would spill down the front of him, past his waist..
Micca wanted to share these desires for closeness and adventure with Joseph, but this just didn’t seem like the right time… Bless his heart, he had been working like crazy these past few days, getting the barns and crops ready for the heavy rains, trying to minimize the ensuing damage.– she didn’t want to be a bother. L With a sigh, she tossed her loose mane back and started to clear off the remains of breakfast.. While she was doing this another passage came to mind "…Your heavenly Father knows what you need before you ask him." (Mathew 6:8, N.T.)
All of a sudden, "wham, wham, wham!" Who was knocking at the door?
"Micca! It’s me, open up!" Joseph exclaimed. Micca opened the door, with a puzzled look on her face. "Joseph are you o.k.? What…" He grabbed her hand and started to bolt out of the house…
"Wait Joseph, the dishes aren’t done. I don’t have my hair braided; I don’t have my shoes on!" "Don’t worry, I’ll help you when we get back," he said. With this, he picked her up (being careful not to pull her hair!J ) and ran across the yard to the barn… Gently, he sat Micca down on his horse Flash, before he himself mounted.. (Micca wanted to take her horse Bunny out, but she kept this to herself. Joseph absolutely refused to ride a horse named ‘Bunny.’)
With a loud ‘whoo, hoo!!’ from Joseph they were off at a fast pace.. (Micca had no clue where they were going or what Joseph had in mind – but she wasn’t going to complain!!!..)
"Come on Micca! You have to see this!..." ???
Happy Easter! J
